In early September, at the Eastern Economic Forum, Russia hosted the II International Vladivostok Regatta, which was attended by Russian and Chinese teams of athletes, and besides them 6 more national teams from Cuba, Serbia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Iran. The organizers of the event were the Ministry of Sports of Russia, the Ministry for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic and the Russian Rowing Federation, headed by the Olympic champion of the Athens Games Aleksey Svirin.
The partner of the event was the Russian Export Center. As part of the regatta, a large-scale campaign “Russian goods – for champions” was launched, designed to promote Russian products under the brand “Made in Russia” with the participation of famous Russian athletes. The campaign was also attended by the Russian companies which products are presented in the Good Food Rusia Pavilion in the UAE, namely: Mibao LLC, MAKFA JSC, BRPI JSC, Soyuzpishcheprom LLC and Ekoniva-APK Holding LLC.
The campaign “Russian goods for Champions” at the Eastern Economic Forum was the first event within the framework of a new format for promoting the national brand “Made in Russia” on foreign markets, implemented by the Russian Export Center in cooperation with the Government of the Russian Federation.
Then the campaign continued in Moscow in the format of a rowing master class. It featured the promotion of Russian products on Chinese marketplaces.
Later, in the second half of October, the exclusive campaign was held to promote the products of Russian exporters as part of a curling master class. It was attended by the winners of the All-Russian competition “Exporter of the Year”, representatives of government authorities, the Russian Export Center, Good Food Russia Pavilions in Turkey and Egypt, as well as bloggers from Vietnam. Among the participants was the Russian gymnast, two-time Olympic champion and 9-time world champion Svetlana Khorkina.
At the events, the Russian Export Center presented a new format for promoting Russian goods under the slogan “Russian goods for champions” and organized tasting stands. Russian and foreign guests and participants of the events were able to taste Russian products presented in national stores abroad under the brand “Made in Russia”.
The campaign is based on the synergy of promoting Russian products and Russian exports and other areas that make up the image of Russia abroad, such as sports, culture and art. It is this synergy that will increase the awareness of the national brand “Made in Russia” among a wide range of foreign buyers, promoted products and partnerships, as well as Russia as a whole.
