With the value of the global plant-based F&B market primed to almost double in the next five years, according to a report from Fortune Business Insights, Upfield, the world’s largest plant-based consumer packaged goods company, will utilise its participation at Gulfood 2020 to showcase its exhaustive range of plant-based F&B products and strengthen its presence in the North Africa and Middle East market with a growing appetite for meat-free and healthier food choices.
The Fortune Business Insights report states that the global plant-based F&B market is on track to reach USD7.38 billion in value by 2025, a soaring increase on its USD4.16 billion in 2017. Demand in the Middle East is on the rise, driven by a growing health-conscious population, and the trend will be amongst several explored at Gulfood 2020, from 16 – 20 February at Dubai World Trade Centre, under the theme ‘Rethinking Food’.
