Organised by ICEX España Exportación e Inversiones, IFEMA MADRID and FEPEX, the Forum will host a total of four sessions — Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, Canada and the United Arab Emirates — between 12 and 15 September, through the LIVEConnect platform.
On 13 September, the World Fresh Forum will be held with a presentation that will analyze the keys and opportunities for targeting the table grape market in Vietnam, one of the guest countries at this edition of Fruit Attraction.
The Vietnamese fruit and vegetable market is gradually opening up to Spanish fruit and vegetables. In 2019, the protocol for table grapes for Vietnam came into effect, making it the first fruit that can be exported to this country. Moreover, Vietnamese importers consider that table grapes from Spain could be a new source of supply for the June to October period when Spanish table grape production is in a full season.
This begins a new chapter of significant potential for fruit and vegetable exports. A thorough understanding of the functioning of the industry and the specific demands of fruit and vegetable importers is essential. All of this will be analysed by government officials from MAPA and MINCOTUR, the Spanish Economic and Commercial Office in Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnamese importers and distributors who will participate in the session.
