On March 1, 2023, the highly anticipated project, “Organic Food from the EU– A Good Choice”, was officially launched in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It is a three- year project co-financed by the European Union (UE).
The informational and promotional campaign is aimed at business-to-business (B2B) stakeholders, including managers of major distribution networks, food retailers, importers, distributors of organic products, and representatives from distribution companies, and retail chains. Additionally, the campaign aims to reach out to individual customers (B2C), including professionals, households, business owners, restaurateurs, and chefs.
The core premise of the project is to raise awareness about the EU’s quality system for organic food production.
“We are thrilled to introduce the UAE market to the high quality organic products originating from the European Union through our campaign, ‘Organic Food from the EU – A Good Choice,’ informing consumers in the UAE about the EU’s high-quality, sustainable production methods and their environmental benefits,” says Pawel Krajmas, president of the National Association of Polish Organic Food Producers and Processors “Polska Ekologia”.
A comprehensive range of activities are planned for the campaign. These include renowned trade fairs such as Gulfood, Middle East Organic and Natural Products, and Abu Dhabi International Food Exhibition. Additionally, a European study tour will be organized to directly acquaint potential UAE business partners with EU organic production standards. The project will also feature participation in Restaurant Week, during which select restaurants in the UAE will incorporate dishes based made of organic products from the EU. It will be accompanied by a series of engagements involving local opinion leaders, influencers, media representatives, HORECA industry employees, and potential customers. Furthermore, promotions will be conducted at various outlets throughout the UAE, offering tastings and captivating presentations of a wide range of organic products from the EU.
“Our campaign aims to showcase the high qualities of organic products from the European Union, emphasizing their nutritional value and production quality. We aspire to promote the consumption of organic products as a lifestyle choice that aligns with modern trends, rooted in the awareness of the benefits derived from a balanced diet and an active lifestyle,” adds Pawel Krajmas.
