Bilateral relations of Russia and the UAE are flourishing in different spheres, including politics, culture, and economy. Last year was marked by a notable breakthrough in trade turnover between the two countries. In 2022, it exceeded $ 10 billion, according to the Russian Minister of Economic Development Maksim Reshetnikov. The growth was noticeable not only in oil trade but also in non-oil goods, which builds a sustainable ground for further mutually beneficial cooperation.
The mission of the Good Food Russia pavilion is to support food manufacturers from Russia to enter the markets of GCC countries. Its facilities allow companies to demonstrate their products to potential Arab partners and provide them with an opportunity to taste what they have to offer. The pavilion applies high-quality standards to products exhibited there, so only those, that meet them, can appear on its shelves. Now among exhibitors, there are producers of a great variety of products such as confectionary, soft drinks, dairy, spices, and many others.
The pavilion is growing, and new companies are eager to present their goods there. For example, in the last months, the number of exhibitors increased by 57. Among the new ones there are LLC “Mukomol’nyy kombinat “Volodarskiy” (one of the largest suppliers of flour in Russia), LLC “Agro-Al’yans” (exclusive varieties of high-quality cereals and legumes), LLC “Polar seafood Russia” (one of the largest suppliers and processors of seafood on a federal scale), LLC “Sladkiy Pir” (confectionery products), LLC “Upravlyayushchaya Kompaniya Trapeza” (classic spices, seasonings, culinary additives, mixtures), LLC “AGROBAR PRO” (natural fruit purees and premium syrups), LLC “Baykal Akva” (natural drinking water of the highest quality category), JSC MBNP “Ochakovo” (natural alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages), LLC “Miratorg” (one of the largest meat producers in Russia), KOMOS GROUP LLC (one of the leading agricultural holdings in Russia with a complete agricultural production cycle) and others. As a result, the product mix of the pavilion is becoming broad, and continuously more brands from Russia now have access to the GCC market.
The pavilion also takes steps to raise awareness of products made in Russia by organizing tastings in different local retail chains. One of them recently took place at Union Coop, where customers could try cereals, spices, and pasta, having enabled them to get acquainted with Russian goods and make sure that they are of high quality.
Now goods produced in Russia are available in several retail chains such as Union Coop, Carrefour, Al Maya, All Day, and others. In addition, they can be purchased online via Noon.ae, Amazon.ae, Prostor.ae and other marketplaces. Additionally, potential buyers can get acquainted with the list of Russian products presented in the Pavilion on the official website of Good Food Russia. Thus, products from Russia are becoming more and more visible in the markets of GCC countries.
