In a remarkable step forward for sustainable development and agriculture, LLC Imereti Agro Zone (IAZ) invites interested organizations to buy land that is rich in resources and is infrastructurally developed. For this initiative, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia and the Rural Development Agency founded LLC Imereti Agro Zone (IAZ).
The project – Greenhouse Cluster Development, spans on 220 hectares (ha), located in the western part of Georgia, characterized by favorable climate and soil conditions. Notably, the region has a long-standing reputation for greenhouse production, rooted in its history and expertise in the field. 80% of Georgia’s herb production comes from the Imereti region, further solidifying its status as a key agricultural hub. In addition to its suitability for farming, the proposed project includes establishing a logistics center designed to serve all greenhouse-related businesses operating within the Imereti Agro Zone. This logistics facility will be strategically located on the available land plots, facilitating ease of transportation and access.

Transportation conveniences don’t stop there; the land plots are advantageously situated near crucial infrastructural points. These include close proximity to the national highway, railroads, and the international Kutaisi Airport. Plans are also underway to further enhance transportation and export capabilities. The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, and the Government of Georgia are contemplating the construction of a cargo terminal at Kutaisi Airport. This development aims to increase the supply of agricultural products to markets worldwide.
Infrastructure Development
The Government of Georgia and Imereti Agro Zone are committed to ensuring the full development of internal and external infrastructure over this 220-ha land. Notable features include public transport services, perimeter fencing, installation of security systems, and essential utilities like electricity, natural gas, irrigation and drinking water, and sewage systems.
