After two years of operations and a short break due to COVID, the healthy homegrown West African food concept, Catfish, is back in a new location and ready to serve its famous dish, Jollof and other combos to its Dubai fans.
Catfish is a culinary journey into the diversity, deliciousness, and healing powers of traditional African ingredients. Located at Ripe Market in Academy Park, Dubai, the healthy food concept is committed to exploring authentic dishes across Africa and preparing them with contemporary wellness techniques to create mouthwatering dishes that are bursting with flavor and vitality.
With a simplified and healthy twist on jollof rice dishes such as Dancing Waist, Hunter’s Trap, Talking Drum, and Wrestler’s Choice, Catfish aims to continue to deliver the spirit of African cuisine in every bite.
“Since Catfish’s inception, I have seen the love and growing demand for African culture and food in the region, which makes me proud as a Nigerian. Our aim is to continue to expand the taste of Africa in the region and make our healthier African dishes easily accessible to everyone” says Gbemi Giwa, founder of Catfish.
Each Catfish bowl is built around the basic nutrition principles of healthy vegetables, lean protein, carbs, and good fats with carefully sourced organic ingredients. The Catfish team has also carefully selected ingredients by infusing them with warming spices and aromatic herbs which have been used across African kitchens for centuries to build flavor and nourish the body.
Customers can now enjoy any of the delicious Catfish bowls by visiting their food truck in Ripe Market at Academy Park, Dubai, or ordering from their third-party delivery platform Chatfood.
