Garofalo Freshly Filled Pasta is a New Taste Experience created by Pasta Garofalo. It is the perfect combination of a generous 60% filling and fresh pasta made with select flour, high-quality semolina and Italian pasteurised eggs from free-range hens.
Pasta Garofalo, well known for its premium Italian dry pasta ranges, has developed its range of fresh filled pasta with Italian fresh pasta maker Bertagni, who specialises in small batches to reproduce the flavour and quality of homemade pasta.
Garofalo fresh filled pasta shapes are a taste experience, made with natural ingredients combined in a refined and wise way. The result is irresistible, and the ideal choice for dishes that make a certain impression but are easy to prepare.
There are five filling options in the range.
Garofalo Burrata & ‘Nduja Mezzaluna creates the perfect synthesis between the dairy traditions of Apulia and the spicy flavours of Calabria. The crescent moon shaped filled pasta lend themselves to many creative solutions to serve; with butter, sage and chopped toasted almonds or with a simple drizzle of oil.
Raviolo Caprese offer a generous filling of ricotta, provolone and marjoram and make each bite an extraordinary taste experience in a shape reminiscent of the sun of Capri Island! They are best served with simple sauces such as cherry tomatoes and basil.
Buffalo Ricotta, Porcini & Truffle Mezzaluna; the sweetness of buffalo ricotta meets the aromatic flavour of mushrooms and the pungent note of truffles to create a filled pasta that is best served with simply olive oil.
Ricotta & Sicilian Lemon Zest Girasole; the round shape with scalloped edges, shaped like a sunflower, encloses a filling of creamy ricotta and fragrant Sicilian lemons, a hymn to healthy flavours!
Prosciutto Di Parma Tortellino; originally from Emilia Romagna and now conquering palates all over Italy these tortellini are the perfect combination of the excellence of tradition, high-quality ingredients and a commitment to creating a healthy and tasty fresh filled pasta.
The Garofalo team in the UK will launch the range to the independent retail trade at the 2020 Farm Shop and Deli Show in Birmingham, stand L91.
