Roquette to unveil a new era of positive nutrition at Fi Europe 2024

Roquette, a global leader in plant-based ingredients, invites Food Ingredients Europe (FiE) delegates to taste the future of sustainable, health-focused food at booth G60, hall 3.1. Showcasing innovative solutions that align with growing consumer demand for nutritious and delicious plant-based alternatives, visitors will have the opportunity to engage with virtual consumer personas, explore new food concepts cooked up by Roquette’s application experts and gain insights into current trends in plant-based nutrition, sustainability and health. Roquette will also be presenting its recently launched NUTRALYS® Fava S900M, a fava bean protein that boasts an impressive 90% protein content, in FiE’s New Product Zone. The event coincides with the announcement that Roquette has been shortlisted for an Fi Innovation Award in the Diversity & Inclusion Innovation category, signifying its commitment to advancing gender diversity, at all levels and in all jobs, and helping everyone to fulfil their potential.

“Our focus at FiE this year is firmly fixed on positive nutrition, which is all about creating appetizing concepts that deliver on both taste and nutrition, while addressing the needs of a more health-conscious and environmentally aware world,” says Valérie Le Bihan, Head of Customer Marketing Europe at Roquette. “Our over-arching aim is to address the needs of consumers by helping our customers solve the challenges they can face in developing brand-new end-products and we’re excited to offer attendees a true taste of what’s on the horizon for food innovation.”

AI-powered creativity meets culinary innovation

At the heart of Roquette’s participation is an interactive experience that brings consumer-driven food concepts to life. The booth will feature an innovative video platform that uses AI-driven personas to explore how Roquette’s food innovations answer to the demands and desires of different consumer profiles.

The Roquette team will be hosting live cooking demonstrations, allowing attendees to sample some of these exciting new food concepts firsthand and see how Roquette’s ingredients work in real-world applications. Visitors can learn about the technical expertise behind each formulation and how Roquette helps its customers to develop healthier, tastier and more sustainable food products.

Stepping up to the plate for sustainable solutions

At the event, Roquette will introduce several new food concepts, each crafted to meet the latest nutritional trends, including scoring system improvements. Tailored to diverse personas – from active students to busy professionals – these prototypes provide convenient solutions for catering to modern consumer values.

One standout is Roquette’s protein-powered plant-based dessert. The creamy and dairy-free alternative, made with NUTRALYS® Fava S900M protein, offers a delicious experience while supporting sustainable eating habits.

For those in search of a convenient snack with a balanced nutritional boost, Roquette has created a tomato, feta and herb savory cake, which has a Nutri-Score A rating. Formulated with NUTRIOSE® FB06 soluble fiber and NUTRALYS® B85F pea protein, the on-the-go option delivers rich flavors and a fluffy texture while supporting daily fiber and protein intake.

Roquette’s plant-based tacos feature high-fiber tortillas made with NUTRIOSE® FB06 soluble fiber and NUTRALYS® B85F plant protein. The dish is accompanied by guacamole, which offers an indulgent creamy texture thanks to tapioca-based modified starch CLEARAM® TR3010, and a satiating high-protein plant-based meat alternative, featuring NUTRALYS® T Pea 700M. The meal kit – which also boasts a Nutri-Score A rating – offers a flavorful option for those reducing their consumption of animal-derived products, without compromising on taste or nutrition.

Finally, formulators focused on food supplements can discover Roquette’s lemon-flavored algal-based DHA gummies. Containing DHA oil and CLEARGUM® PG 9020 modified starch, they provide a convenient, tasty and responsible way to consume omega-3.

Roquette: A trusted partner for positive nutrition

For close to a century, Roquette has been the trusted partner in plant-based ingredients, empowering food manufacturers to create healthier, more sustainable food products. With a strong commitment to innovation and a deep understanding of market trends, the company continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible in the food industry.

“Our food concepts are designed to inspire our partners and create healthier, plant-based options,” adds Christine Beauvois, Head of Customer Technical Services Europe at Roquette. “These delicious and indulgent creations demonstrate how plant-based innovations can not only meet, but surpass consumer expectations. We’re proud to be forging a new era of food experiences and invite partners and prospects to join us on the journey.”

Join Roquette at FiE 2024 to explore how its innovations are shaping the future of food. Plus, attendees will get the chance to learn more about subsidiary company, Roquette Sethness, a specialist in caramel manufacturing, which will be co-exhibiting at the event.
