The informational and promotional campaign “EU Organic Food – Good Choice“, co-financed by the European Union, received significant recognition during two prestigious food trade fairs held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in November: The Middle East Organic & Natural Products Expo in Dubai and the Abu Dhabi International Food Exhibition (ADIFE).
During the fairs, European organic food stood out with its diversity and high quality. The rich selection – ranging from grain products, fruits, and vegetables to honey, dairy, and meat products – attracted numerous visitors. This resulted in dozens of business meetings that served to establish relationships and showcase the potential of European organic products in the rapidly growing organic food market in the UAE.
“Our presence at the fairs in the UAE serves as a foundation for building partnerships in the Middle East, which is crucial for expanding exports of European organic food,” emphasized representatives of companies exhibiting at the project’s stand in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Press Event
On 18 November, during the Dubai fair, a special press event was held at The Barnyard restaurant, gathering local journalists, influencers, and food industry experts. Participants had the opportunity to sample European organic products, which further strengthened interest in European organic food offerings.
“European organic food is a choice that aligns with responsibility for the future of health, the environment, and local communities. Our products meet stringent European production standards, providing consumers with confidence in their high quality,” summarized Jolanta Lyska, General Director of the “Polska Ekologia” Association, who participated in the press event.
Future Plans
The success of these events sets the direction for the campaign’s future activities. In December, importers, media representatives, and influencers from the UAE will have the chance to visit Europe as part of a study tour to see how European organic products are made. The campaign continues its mission to promote the values of European organic farming in the Middle Eastern markets.
